The role of Auction Coordinator at Auction.com centers around representing the company at live courthouse step auctions primarily in the Clarkesville, GA area with travel extending up to one to two hours to surrounding counties. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy public speaking, customer interaction, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions. The role involves conducting, co-hosting, and actively participating in live auctions while multitasking to manage the necessary processes to ensure smooth auction events. You will be the face of Auction.com during these events, responsible not only for facilitating the auction day activities but also for educating customers on how to participate in auctions, thereby fostering community engagement and helping turn properties into homes.
The schedule for this position typically involves auction events on the first Tuesday of each month, requiring between 2 and 6 hours of work per auction day. The monthly workload averages 6 to 15 hours but varies depending on event frequency and additional responsibilities such as training sessions and administrative tasks. Auction Coordinators also have access to ongoing training resources designed to enhance skills and provide opportunities for additional compensation. Upon successful completion of training, there is potential for promotion to the position of Auction Coordinator 1, which includes greater responsibilities such as managing auctions independently or with a team.
This job requires a professional demeanor and the ability to interact courteously with various stakeholders including bidders, court staff, government employees, and attorneys.
