Reporting directly to the Tasting Room Manager, the Assistant Manager will provide on-the-floor leadership to maintain seamless operations and uphold outstanding service standards. They will be responsible for mentoring and motivating staff, creating a high-performance culture, and ensuring that all customer interactions align with Lewis Cellars' exemplary reputation. The position demands a hospitality professional with extensive experience in luxury environments, a profound passion for wine, and the ability to lead and inspire a team across multiple winery locations. Additionally, the Assistant Tasting Room Manager will collaborate closely with various departments, including Events, Marketing, and Wine Society, to promote the brand and coordinate outreach efforts. This role requires a flexible work schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, to support dynamic winery activities. Compensation for this full-time role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 base salary, with the potential for discretionary bonuses based on performance and skills. • 3+ years of luxury hospitality experience
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory or management experience
• Proven sales and revenue achievement record
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Level I Sommelier or willingness to obtain Level I or WSET Level 2
• Strong understanding of P&L and labor planning
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
