The role in focus is an Assistant Professor position in Aviation at San Jose State University, specializing in either Professional Flight or Aircraft Systems. This is a full-time, tenure-track, on-site instructional faculty position with a competitive academic year salary ranging approximately from $101,000 to $114,000 depending on qualifications, experience, and rank. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels including private pilot ground instruction, instrument flight, commercial pilot ground, aviation meteorology, multi-engine aircraft, aircraft systems, flight controls, flight operations, avionics, turbine engines, powerplants, and broader aviation topics such as air traffic management and aviation management.
