This full-time position involves multiple responsibilities within a dynamic warehouse environment, including overseeing local pickups and deliveries. The Associate will play a key role in maintaining operational accuracy by meticulously checking incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring that products are stored safely and efficiently. Inventory control is another major function, requiring attention to detail to uphold stock accuracy and availability. The position also includes physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, preparing pallets for shipment, and operating essential warehouse equipment including forklifts, manual and power pallet jacks, and hand trucks. An important aspect of this role is driving agency vehicles, including refrigerated box trucks equipped with lift gates, to facilitate the transportation of food donations and other supplies throughout the service area. This position not only demands physical stamina, such as the ability to lift at least 50 pounds repetitively but also requires a strong commitment to following safety protocols and operational procedures. Effective communication skills are necessary to interact with donors and team members, particularly when accepting food and cash donations, and to ensure smooth coordination of logistics.
