The Director, Event Technology (DET) role at Encore is a senior leadership position aimed at managing an assigned location or locations with venue revenue ranging between $450,000 and $900,000. This full-time position reports directly to higher regional or area directors and is designed to oversee a small team of fewer than two full-time members. The role is essential for achieving revenue and profitability goals by effectively managing daily operations, focusing on financial stewardship, cultivating client and partner relationships, and ensuring delivery of world-class service standards. The DET plays a pivotal part in maintaining the quality of Encore's service delivery by supervising advanced audiovisual technology solutions and responding rapidly to client needs and operational challenges.
This position requires strategic management capabilities, including developing and executing sales strategies, managing budgets, overseeing inventory and equipment, and leading a committed team focused on continuous improvement and high performance. The Director must work closely with venue staff and clients, act as a point of escalation during events, and represent Encore at all operational and client meetings to ensure seamless coordination. The role also involves an extensive amount of technical skill application, including troubleshooting audiovisual equipment, managing event setups, and ensuring all technological aspects meet high standards.
The DET is responsible for financial management aspects such as controlling labor costs, managing billing and invoicing, and generating accurate financial forecasts and reports.
