The role of the Cashier at Coborn's is centered on delivering exceptional guest service with a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude. This position requires the individual to operate a cash register accurately and efficiently while assisting customers with their purchases and inquiries. Responsibilities include scanning, ringing, or manually entering items into the register, collecting various forms of payments including cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons, and ensuring the correct change is given while maintaining the security of the cash drawer. Beyond transactional duties, cashiers help customers with locating merchandise, answering questions, resolving concerns, and handling bagging with care. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the customer's shopping experience by providing friendly, dependable, and knowledgeable service. The job is designed for individuals who are personable and enjoy interacting with the public, supporting both the store's mission and the community.
