The role of Director of Finance at The Beverly Hills Hotel is a key leadership position within the Administrative and General Finance division, offering a permanent, full-time employment contract. This role is crafted for a seasoned financial professional who will act as the strategic financial business leader and a vital member of the Executive Committee. With an annual compensation range between $190,000 and $200,000, this position demands high levels of energy, consistency, creativity, and strategic thinking to meet the diverse financial challenges of an iconic property.
The Director of Finance is responsible for supervising, supporting, and coordinating a wide array of financial activities to drive the hotel’s success. This leadership role involves developing and implementing property-wide financial strategies that align with the hotel’s mission to exceed the expectations of guests and employees alike. The role encompasses providing vital financial expertise for the successful implementation of service standards and brand initiatives, maximizing return on investment for owners and the Dorchester Collection.
Key responsibilities include overseeing internal control systems, conducting balance sheet reviews, and enhancing financial forecasting and budgeting processes. The Director of Finance will analyze and interpret complex financial data, communicate insights to the Dorchester Collection’s VP Finance and General Manager, and serve as a trusted financial advisor to the General Manager. The position also involves monitoring capital expenditures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and managing a finance team to foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.
This role is ideal for an experienced financial leader with over 10 years of senior management experience, strong analytical skills, and a Master’s in Business Administration. Candidates should be proficient in U.S. GAAP accounting principles, preferably with California experience, and adept at navigating fast-paced environments. The position requires a ‘‘roll up your sleeves’’ mindset, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for service excellence. - 10+ years of senior financial management experience with increasing responsibility
