The role of Health Information Assistant / Receptionist at our facility is pivotal in maintaining efficient administrative and customer service operations. This position involves welcoming visitors, managing communications, and supporting nursing staff with important healthcare tasks. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and families, providing information about the facility, arranging tours, and directing guests to their respective destinations. Responsibilities also include carrying out clinical support duties such as administering PTINRs, faxing results to physicians, and communicating new orders to the licensed nursing team to ensure seamless patient care. Additionally, the Health Information Assistant / Receptionist will perform various administrative tasks including sorting mail, handling courier deliveries, faxing, filing, and managing office and nursing supplies to keep the facility functioning smoothly. Our Health Information Assistant / Receptionist position is designed for someone who is organized, friendly, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be operating multi-line telephone systems to answer, screen, and forward calls while taking detailed messages and providing essential information. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in administrative roles, and a certification in medication administration or a willingness to obtain one, supporting both clinical and clerical responsibilities.
