The General Manager I (GM) plays a critical leadership role in managing the operations of a quick service restaurant (QSR) or a small cluster of restaurants or points-of-sale within proximity to each other, typically handling sales volumes up to $5 million. This full-time exempt position is responsible for ensuring the restaurant is clean, well-staffed, operational, and functioning according to high standards of quality and financial performance. As a General Manager I, you will hold full P&L accountability and use your management skills, business acumen, and leadership to drive profitability, efficient staffing, and superior customer service. You will be responsible for the daily opening and closing procedures, deploying staff effectively, maintaining product availability, and ensuring safe and sanitary restaurant conditions. Developing and implementing creative strategies to boost sales and enhance the customer experience will be part of your role. You will lead by example, fostering an engaging and inclusive culture where employees are motivated and supported. Your role includes coaching, training, and evaluating team members, managing inventory and vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations. Mastery of operational information systems and an ability to handle multiple priorities with discretion and judgement are key to success in this role. This position reports to the Director of Operations or an area leader and may require working a varied and rotating schedule, including some early mornings, busy peak periods, and closing shifts to oversee restaurant activities.
