The role of Receptionist at Hallmark Youthcare is a vital position within the organizational framework, directly supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for all visitors and staff. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, managing entry protocols including issuing visitor badges, directing guests appropriately, and informing them about facility procedures and rules. This position supports the operational efficiency of the facility by maintaining the lobby area, ensuring it remains clean and stocked with necessary amenities like daily newspapers, magazines, and coffee supplies, creating a warm and professional atmosphere. Operating during regular business hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, this full-time role offers an hourly wage ranging between $15.00 and $17.00. The Receptionist plays a crucial role in communications within the center, handling incoming calls, paging clinicians and staff, and managing notices to staff and residents over the intercom system. Additional responsibilities include overseeing emergency and drill announcements, assisting with data collection during drills, and managing the communication needs of residents by directing calls appropriately after verifying visitor approval levels. Besides managing visitor logs and badges, the Receptionist ensures confidentiality by maintaining appropriate logs such as key checkouts, vehicle usage, sign-out records, cab scheduling, and court appointment notifications. The role demands excellent customer service and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information about residents and the facility. Furthermore, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required to meet various clerical and communication needs.
