The Animal Care Attendant position is hands-on and active, demanding individuals who enjoy physical work and are comfortable with lifting up to 40 pounds, as well as standing and walking for the duration of shifts. The role requires a resilient, patient, and professional demeanor even in challenging situations, such as managing large dogs or cleaning up after them. As an Animal Care Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all pet enclosures and play areas are clean, safe, and sanitized to maintain a healthy environment. Serving meals and fresh water, monitoring the wellbeing and behavior of each pet, and reporting anything unusual to management are critical daily duties. You will also supervise playtime to keep pets happy and engaged, assist with grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing, and manage pet laundry and belongings to keep everyone comfortable. This is a part-time role that requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as pets need constant care regardless of the day.
