The role of Analyst for Pilot Workforce Planning is a critical position within United Airlines' Flight Operations team. This team is responsible for hiring, training, qualifying, and supporting the best pilots in the industry to safely and reliably operate flights. The Analyst will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and communicating the pilot staffing plan, helping to ensure that United Airlines has the appropriate number of qualified pilots to meet operational demands. The position involves close collaboration with various internal partners, including the Flight Training Center and Crew Planning teams, to develop accurate forecasts and budget plans. The Analyst will lead the development of long-term and short-term pilot workforce forecasts, specifically focusing on staffing changes and managing the annual Pilot Vacation plan. A significant part of the role involves detailed data analysis, modeling, and scenario planning to anticipate changes in pilot demand driven by factors such as new pilot contracts, aircraft deliveries, and new training requirements. The Analyst will be responsible for ensuring forecast models remain accurate and are continuously improved in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Effective communication is crucial, as the Analyst will present plans and forecasts to leadership and internal stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in Aviation, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Engineering, Business, or related fields who have strong analytical and modeling skills. The role requires intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and excellent communication abilities, both verbal and visual. The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $84,514.00, with additional eligibility for bonus and long-term incentive compensation awards.   • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in aviation aeronautics finance supply chain manufacturing statistics operations research engineering business computer science logistics transportation or related field
