The Bellperson role at Highgate is based in the vibrant city of New Orleans, specifically within proximity to the bustling Arts District and the iconic French Quarter, areas known for their rich cultural heritage and popular attractions. This luxury hotel embodies the charm and mystique of New Orleans while delivering an exemplary guest experience through newly renovated accommodations and a highly professional staff focused on attentive, courteous service. The Bellperson holds a critical position within the hotel operations team by assisting guests with their luggage both upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth and warm welcome as well as an efficient check-out process. Beyond luggage handling, Bellpersons escort guests to their rooms, provide detailed explanations about room features including electronic devices and entertainment options, and maintain a readiness to accommodate guest needs throughout their stay. Additional responsibilities include handling the organization and delivery of luggage for tour groups, inspecting guestrooms to verify they are prepared with necessary supplies, managing guest luggage storage with appropriate tagging, and supporting other departments by delivering messages, packages, flowers, laundry, and amenities to guestrooms. Bellpersons also help guests with room changes, maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions and transportation options, and occasionally assist the front desk by answering console queries. This role requires physical stamina to carry luggage up to 100 pounds and the ability to remain on their feet during an entire shift. - High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state if applicable

- ability to stand during entire shift
