The General Manager role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations across all primary departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage. The General Manager ensures that the hotel operates within the fiscal parameters set by ownership while maintaining the brand's quality standards. The role involves comprehensive personnel management, budget oversight, and financial control, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability. An integral part of the role involves guest relationship management, particularly resolving escalated guest concerns to uphold the hotel's esteemed reputation. The General Manager will coordinate with corporate recruitment to maintain optimal staffing levels and will lead team development initiatives through hiring, training, coaching, and counseling. This role is not conducive to remote work and requires a physical presence on-site, accommodating flexible shifts including weekends and occasional overnight travel. • College degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience
• Five years experience supervising at least 15 associates
• Three years experience in hotel management including managing budgets
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working in Hilton or Marriott family of hotels preferred
• Must pass appropriate security clearances
• Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch and reach
• Must be able to communicate effectively with associates and guests
• Must maintain honesty and trustworthiness at all times
• Must be physically present at the hotel and be able to work any shift including weekends
• Periodic overnight travel required
