The role of Assistant Front Office Manager is situated within the Goodtime Hotel, a recently developed mixed-use property designed by Morris Adjmi and Ken Fulk, located in the bustling heart of Miami Beach. This project offers over 45,000 square feet of high-visibility ground floor and retail opportunities, making it a landmark destination on Washington Avenue and nearby streets. As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Front Office, delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests from arrival through their entire stay. The position focuses on maximizing room revenue and occupancy by applying professional customer service, meticulous operational oversight, and effective revenue strategies.
Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with Sales and Reservations to fulfill special requests for groups and VIP guests, assisting in daily guest reception, and responding to social media feedback to enhance guest experience. You will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, exhibit excellent communication skills, and foster teamwork throughout the department. The role involves training and supervising front office staff, including hiring responsibilities, and ensuring all guest profiles and reservations are maintained accurately with attention to special requests and amenities. Financial aspects such as maintaining the house bank, daily receipts, and deposits require attention to detail and basic financial acumen.
Providing exceptional guest service, anticipating guest needs proactively, resolving complaints efficiently, and promoting hotel facilities and local attractions are integral to this role. The Assistant Front Office Manager must be capable of supervising shifts, managing emergency procedures, updating internal communication logs, and participating in all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
