This role is an exciting opportunity to join Pilot Company’s experienced team as a Service Technician based near Amarillo, TX, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of approximately 15 store locations. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly schedule, working 45-50 hours per week with weekends off and no on-call duties, which supports a healthy work-life balance. The company provides a service vehicle, all necessary tools and equipment, including a cellular phone, iPad, and laptop, allowing you to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs with ease and efficiency. As a Service Technician, your primary responsibilities involve the maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems across our retail facilities. You will be tasked with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, performing repairs according to warranty and industry standards, and maintaining clear communication with supervisors and store managers regarding work status. Precision is essential, as you will document daily repair activities and manage charge allocations appropriately. Maintaining a well-stocked service vehicle and ensuring alignment with company safety standards is another vital component of the role. Your work will contribute to the overall safety and operational excellence of the facilities, with strict adherence to OSHA regulations. This role is perfect for candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance along with expertise in commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment repairs. A valid driver’s license with a strong driving record is necessary, along with basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills will help you thrive in this position. Physical capabilities including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions are also essential.
