Managed exclusively by Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA), a Drew Company, the facility is renowned for its dynamic atmosphere and pivotal role in connecting global trade, governmental functions, and community events all in one centralized location. Trade Center Management Associates is currently seeking an experienced Baker/Pastry Cook to bolster its culinary team within the Reagan Building. This full-time, regular position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $22.00 and typically involves morning shifts, although working hours may vary. The successful candidate will directly support kitchen management by preparing and baking high-quality pastry and dessert items, ensuring the utmost standards of food safety, presentation, and timely service are upheld to create an exceptional dining experience for guests. The role demands a strong focus on quality control, efficient organization, and the ability to handle large-volume production in a fast-paced, upscale environment. As a key member of the culinary team, the Baker/Pastry Cook will be responsible for setting up and arranging their work area with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment to maintain smooth operations. They will prepare an array of pastries and desserts following standardized recipes and strict portion control guidelines while ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated according to industry best practices. The candidate will use kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, slicers, mixers, choppers, and grinders, always adhering to sanitation standards to maintain a clean and hygienic workplace. This position also requires flexibility and teamwork, as the Baker/Pastry Cook may be called upon to assist other kitchen areas as needed to support overall kitchen operations. The candidate will be expected to comply fully with all departmental policies, procedures, and safety regulations.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years’ experience in quantity food production in an upscale operation
  • Minimum of one year pastry experience in high volume, upscale hotel or free standing restaurant with banquet operation
  • Proven culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of standard kitchen equipment and its use
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
