Reporting directly to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Assistant Manager, the role is pivotal in maintaining a clean and efficient bar area, mixing drinks, pouring beer, managing inventory, and supporting other team members. The bartender contributes to the restaurant's goal by enabling guests to relax and enjoy their meals in a lively, fun atmosphere with the best barbecue ever. This non-exempt position requires someone dependable who can handle a flexible schedule, manage multiple tasks, and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The bartender's duties include greeting guests warmly, ensuring the bar is spotless, switching kegs when necessary, and sweeping and mopping the general area to uphold health and sanitation standards. Attention to detail is important when mixing drinks and performing daily inventory checks of the bar’s supplies. The role demands physical stamina to stand for extended periods and the ability to lift and move items up to 35 pounds. Additionally, the bartender must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety guidelines consistently.
