Xanitos is currently seeking Full-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers to join their 2nd shift team at Laredo Medical Center located in Laredo, Texas. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards necessary for patient safety and comfort within the healthcare environment. In the role of Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper, the individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas within the healthcare campus, which may vary depending on the specific client premises. Duties include cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, trim, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other workspaces. The housekeeper will also sweep or vacuum floors, dust furniture and equipment, polish metalwork, wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Waste management, including emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash to designated disposal areas, is an integral part of the job, alongside replenishing bathroom supplies and transporting small equipment or tools between departments.
The role demands a high level of physical activity, including standing, walking, handling objects, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. The position requires good vision capabilities, such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses. Furthermore, employees must be prepared to work in environments where they may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and occasional proximity to moving mechanical parts.
