San Diego, CA, USA, CA Full-Time $18 - $18
We are a prominent airport services provider dedicated to ensuring the safe, efficient, and seamless handling of aircraft, passengers, and cargo. Our organization prides itself on delivering top-quality ground support operations, contributing to the smooth functioning of daily airport activities. As a key player in the aviation industry, we emphasize safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction in every task we undertake. We are currently seeking a highly responsible and skilled Ramp Agent to join our dynamic team. The Ramp Agent plays a crucial role in the ground handling process by managing aircraft loading and unloading, baggage handling, and supporting various operational duties on the tarmac. This full-time position offers competitive pay and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety guidelines. The successful candidate will work closely with airline personnel, ground crew, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and secure aircraft turnaround. In this role, the Ramp Agent will be responsible for loading, unloading, servicing, guiding, and directing customer aircraft with precision and care. Protecting customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather conditions, loss, theft, damage, or destruction is a critical part of this job. The Ramp Agent will lift, load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage and company materials safely using specialized equipment such as belt loaders and baggage carts. Operating pushback equipment while maintaining visual contact with Wing Walkers is essential to ensure safe aircraft movement on the ground. The successful candidate will be tasked with receiving and recording customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials. They will pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, preparing necessary documentation and entering data into the company's information system. The role also involves operating motorized equipment like air start units, lift trucks, pushback tugs, lavatory carts, and deicers, or manually pushing carts and containers as required. Completing paperwork accurately and adhering to prescribed procedures is a vital element of the role, reinforcing the importance of operational compliance and record-keeping. Additional responsibilities may include performing related duties that match the skill level and experience of the Ramp Agent. This position demands physical endurance since candidates must regularly lift and move heavy items, climb, bend, and work comfortably in cramped or elevated spaces. Training and certification in ramp safety and security are mandatory to meet airport authority requirements. Joining our team grants access to exclusive travel benefits, competitive wages with daily access to earned pay, paid holidays, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. We foster an inclusive and supportive work environment where collaboration and professional growth are encouraged. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for the aviation industry and a commitment to excellence, this opportunity as a Ramp Agent will provide a rewarding career path with excellent benefits and stability.
