The role of the Ramp Agent is vital to our operation. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities centered around aircraft servicing, baggage handling, and cargo management. As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, guiding, and directing customer aircraft while ensuring all operations meet safety standards. Safeguarding customers' baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather damage, loss, theft, or destruction is a primary duty, requiring vigilance and attention to detail. In addition to physically handling passenger baggage, freight, and company materials, the role demands the operation of various motorized equipment such as belt loaders, pushback tugs, and deicers. Familiarity with safety protocols and the capability to maintain communication with Wing Walkers during pushback operations is essential.
Beyond operational tasks, the Ramp Agent will be responsible for documenting and recording cargo and baggage movements, completing necessary paperwork, and maintaining accurate records within the company’s information system. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving lifting and moving heavy loads regularly is mandatory. This position is best suited for individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other airport personnel.                 - Must be a local (in-state) resident
 - valid in-state driver's license
 - ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
 - ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
 - must be at least 18 years of age
 - must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
 - must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
 - must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
 - must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
 - must be able to work in cramped or high places
 - must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs
 - high school diploma or GED
