Upper Crust Food Service is a distinguished food service company specializing in providing fresh, high-quality meals to Sororities and Fraternities across the United States. Known for its emphasis on freshness, variety, quality, and excellent customer service, Upper Crust Food Service was founded with a mission to address a common problem faced by Greek life houses: the lack of consistency and professionalism in their kitchen operations. With a strong commitment to delivering from-scratch meals and maintaining exceptional service, the company has grown significantly and now prepares tens of thousands of meals weekly for students nationwide.
As a company deeply rooted in the hospitality industry, Upper Crust Food Service offers a unique culinary environment that balances creativity, professionalism, and a healthy work-life balance. Unlike many other roles in the hospitality sector, their chefs benefit from very few late nights and weekend hours, making this an attractive opportunity for culinary professionals looking for stability without sacrificing their passion for food. The company prides itself on fostering a positive and collaborative work culture where chefs are empowered to bring their culinary skills and creativity to the table.
The role of Head Chef at Upper Crust Food Service is critical to continuing the company's tradition of excellence. The Head Chef is entrusted with the responsibility of planning, creating, and executing fresh weekly menus that are designed with input from both clients and the management team. This collaborative approach ensures that the dining experience meets the unique preferences and expectations of each fraternity or sorority house.
Beyond the menu development, Head Chefs take charge of all food preparation activities, supervise kitchen staff, and uphold rigorous sanitation standards to maintain kitchen safety and cleanliness. They serve as the key point of communication between the kitchen team, management, and clients, guaranteeing seamless coordination and exceptional customer satisfaction. The role demands a blend of culinary expertise, leadership, and organizational skills to manage inventory, schedule staff, and oversee daily kitchen operations efficiently.
Head Chefs at Upper Crust Food Service thrive on crafting high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor. The role offers a dynamic yet structured work environment that encourages innovation while adhering to company values and local food safety regulations. The company supports its chefs with comprehensive benefits including paid vacations, competitive 401K with company match, and extensive health, dental, vision, and pet insurance coverage.
This position welcomes passionate, classically trained chefs who are driven by their love for food and dedication to providing top-notch customer experiences. Upper Crust Food Service is actively seeking talented individuals ready to contribute to their mission and grow within a reputable organization. Applicants should be prepared for a competitive selection process with immediate resume submissions encouraged due to the high demand for this coveted role.
