The role of an Aircraft Ramp Agent is pivotal to the smooth functioning of airport ground operations. This full-time position requires an individual who will be responsible for the critical task of handling aircraft on the ground, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of passenger baggage, air cargo, and airmail, as well as operating essential ground support equipment. As an Aircraft Ramp Agent, you will be the frontline of airport ground services, directly contributing to the operational readiness and timely departure of aircraft. Your duties will include guiding aircraft safely on the ramp, operating pushback equipment in coordination with Wing Walkers, and protecting customer baggage against potential damage or loss. This role is essential in maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction.
The position requires physical stamina because you will be expected to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items up to 70 pounds repetitively throughout your shift, including on raised surfaces and stairs. Candidates must possess a valid in-state driver’s license and complete specialized ramp and Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) training to obtain necessary airport authority identification security clearance. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates who have one or more years of relevant experience.  - ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
 - ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
 - must be at least 18 years of age
 - must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
 - must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
 - must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
 - must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
 - must be able to work in cramped or high places
 - must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs
