Delta Air Lines values safety, efficiency, and excellence in its operations, setting high standards for all team members. The role of a Cabin Agent is integral to maintaining these standards, ensuring the aircraft's cabin and interior areas are impeccably clean, safe, and well-prepared for each flight. This position plays a critical part in the overall customer experience and the smooth functioning of flight operations. The Cabin Agent is responsible for cleaning and servicing aircraft interiors, including the cabin, cockpit, galleys, and lavatories. Working closely with Ramp agents, Cabin Agents assist in the coordination of aircraft turnaround processes. This includes performing Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks in the ramp area to maintain safety and marshalling aircraft during arrivals and departures to ensure smooth operations on the tarmac. Cabin Agents also ensure that all necessary ground equipment is properly positioned and available in both the ramp area and the bag room for upcoming flights. An essential part of the role is understanding and complying with safety procedures, including reading and interpreting aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage routing tags. This attention to detail supports the safety and efficient management of aircraft ground operations. Delta Air Lines offers its Cabin Agents exclusive flight benefits, competitive pay with daily access to earned wages, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. Employees also benefit from paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) company match programs, and additional wellness programs, supporting overall health and financial wellbeing. The position requires working in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold environments, and demands physical stamina to handle tasks in small or cramped spaces, often involving carrying heavy items and working at heights. A flexible schedule is necessary, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours to meet business requirements.
