The Food Service Worker I position at Fesler (site number 4550) is a full-time role designed to support the district’s food service operations. Working approximately 180 days a year with shifts running from 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, employees in this role will earn between $19.03 and $24.51 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This role involves maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary food service facilities and equipment and assisting in food preparation, serving, and the operation of food service lines. Key responsibilities include cleaning serving areas, operating dishwashers, preparing simple foods such as sandwiches and salads, heating and serving meals to students and staff, handling food supplies by loading and unloading, and performing basic recordkeeping and supervisory duties. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of food services within the school environment and supports the nutritional wellbeing of the student population.
The Food Service Worker I is expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, uphold food safety standards, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and positive cafeteria experience. The position requires physical stamina to lift and carry materials, stand for extended periods, and operate kitchen equipment safely.
