The role of Aircraft Fueler at Menzies Aviation is an integral part of its ground handling operations, primarily responsible for the safe and efficient fueling, defueling, and servicing of aircraft at airport facilities. This position demands a high level of attention to safety procedures and operational protocols to ensure the correct and balanced loading of fuel critical to aircraft performance and safety. An Aircraft Fueler will expertly operate fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary fueling units, maintaining high standards of equipment quality and cleanliness. Candidates must possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division related to weight, volume, and measurement to comply with aircraft weight and balance guidelines. The role includes variable shift patterns, accommodating early mornings, daytime, or night shifts to meet the operational demands of the sector. Working primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, Aircraft Fuelers must be physically capable of handling fueling equipment, which includes lifting and moving items up to 70 pounds. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required, as is adherence to strict safety, security, and wellbeing policies aligned with local regulations and the company’s comprehensive substance misuse standards. Prior experience, especially with a Commercial Driver's License or exposure to the Oil and Gas industry, is preferred but not mandatory.
