We are currently seeking a part-time Air Traffic Control Instructor to join the SAIC CTS team at the Portland TRACON (P80) in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial in supporting FAA controller training services with a primary focus on classroom and simulation laboratory instruction. The position requires expertise in delivering hands-on training to a diverse group of students, including developmental air traffic controllers and experienced CPCs, ensuring their proficiency in managing live air traffic operations safely. The ATC Instructor role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the FAA's mission by preparing controllers who serve over 50,000 daily flights within the NAS. Candidates will utilize their strong technical knowledge of ATC automation, simulation systems, and operational procedures to mentor students and remote pilot operators. Additionally, instructors will assist in the design and continual improvement of training curricula. This part-time position does not involve travel or remote work options and includes a sign-on bonus.   • high school diploma or equivalent
