The role of Agent Cargo at WFS is vital to maintaining seamless cargo operations. This position involves computer data entry, preparation of all flight-related documentation, and interaction with U.S. Customs authorities for import and export processes. Agent Cargo personnel handle all cargo acceptance and distribution in strict compliance with air carrier and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring all operational and regulatory standards are met. Additionally, they support sales activities by compiling customer lists for potential leads, quoting prices, preparing sales contracts, and estimating delivery dates based on company schedules.
The role demands physical agility, including the ability to move cargo weighing up to 70 pounds and to work comfortably on different levels above ground. Security compliance at the assigned warehouse and operational sites is a critical component, requiring vigilance towards site security and prompt reporting of security breaches or suspicious activities. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, manage stress effectively, and operate various cargo handling equipment safely. This position involves rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off, which requires flexibility and reliability.
