UA Little Rock is now seeking a dedicated Admissions Assistant Manager for Communications, Customer Service, and Events to join its Division of Student Affairs. This full-time, 12-month regular professional staff position is based at the Charles W. Donaldson Student Services Center and is designed to offer strategic leadership in the management and development of orientation programs and exceptional customer service in support of student transitions and enrollment. The role requires collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to design and implement effective orientation experiences for diverse student populations including new freshmen, transfer, online, and nontraditional students. The Admissions Assistant Manager will oversee the Ask Desk and orientation processes, ensuring smooth communication and efficient handling of inquiries related to admissions, enrollment, financial aid, records, and registration. This position calls for a proactive approach to anticipating student needs throughout the enrollment cycle and delivering comprehensive support both in person and through various communication channels. In addition to providing front-line customer service, the role includes supervising customer service representatives and student assistants, developing communication plans, coordinating campus recruitment events, managing orientation logistics, and serving as a liaison across university departments. The successful candidate will be charged with fostering student leadership through recruitment, training, and mentorship, as well as advocating for first-year, transfer, and transitional students. This role also encompasses fiscal management of orientation resources, assessment and evaluation of programs and services, and participation in university committees and professional development activities. A strong foundation in student development theory, higher education administration, counseling, diversity sensitivity, and communication skills is essential to excel as the Admissions Assistant Manager.   • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of relevant higher education work experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
