The Shift Leader role at Dairy Queen is a critical position that supports the General Manager (GM) in all facets of operations including financial performance, product production, inventory control, personnel management, sales, and marketing. This role demands a detail-oriented leader who can run the restaurant during scheduled shifts, setting high standards for both the team and the customer experience. The Shift Leader is charged with ensuring operational excellence by upholding quality standards, maintaining an efficient and positive store environment, and creating an exceptional fan experience. This role involves managing the day-to-day restaurant operations to meet or exceed customer expectations in food quality, service speed, and overall atmosphere. Responsibilities include overseeing inventory control, product ordering, cash management, and staff scheduling. The Shift Leader also plays a pivotal role in training the team, ensuring that all crew and shift leads are proficient with DQ standards, recipes, food safety practices, and operational routines. Business planning is a key element where the Shift Leader assists in executing strategies designed by the GM and supporting teams. This includes analyzing cost of goods sold (COGS), labor management, inventory levels, and sales trends to maximize profitability while maintaining excellent service standards. • Minimum 1-3 years of high volume restaurant leadership experience
