The Account Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all retail activities related to their assigned vendor line across all stores carrying that vendor's merchandise. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Center Core Retail Operations & Events, this exempt position acts as the principal liaison between Belk and its vendors, ensuring compliance with brand standards and operational requirements. The role demands a professional with strong retail experience, particularly within the beauty category, who can drive sales, manage promotional events, and develop associate talent to achieve line and store goals. This position involves hands-on store visits, active communication with store leadership teams, and collaboration with vendor partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences and maximize sales performance. Key responsibilities include meeting annual and seasonal sales plans, managing gift and event goals, coordinating promotional calendars, and supporting associates through coaching, recruiting, and training. Additionally, the Account Coordinator monitors associate performance using Belk’s scorecards, aiming to exceed key performance indicators like sales per hour, units per transaction, and credit application goals.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that shrinkage is minimized and store merchandising standards are upheld, including timely setups for events and consistent execution of approved in-store promotions. The Account Coordinator plays a hands-on role in visual merchandising, counter cleanliness, and stockroom organization, reflecting Belk's commitment to high visual and operational standards. They also contribute to leadership discussions by presenting data, insights, and updates to both Belk's corporate team and vendor executives via weekly calls and business meetings. Essential to the role is the development and retention of top beauty advisor talent through effective hiring, coaching, and performance management strategies.
