The role of Host/Hostess at THE ONE GROUP is pivotal to the guest experience. This position serves as the first and last point of contact for diners, requiring strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. Hosts and Hostesses are responsible for managing reservations via OpenTable, coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow of service, and ensuring that each guest feels welcome and valued from arrival to departure. This role demands a highly organized individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and warmth. Key responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, handling both reservations and walk-ins, assisting with special seating requests, and communicating wait times efficiently and courteously. Hosts also provide menus, introduce guests to their servers, and maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand. They handle incoming phone inquiries related to reservations, collaborate with concierge teams for outreach and brand representation at off-site events, and assist in monitoring dining room status to help coordinate seating. The role additionally involves supporting service colleagues by bussing tables or running food when necessary. Adherence to health and sanitation regulations is critical, as is upholding THE ONE GROUP’s high standards of hospitality. Candidates for this role should possess an outgoing and engaging personality, demonstrate strong multi-tasking capabilities, and have the physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays. Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is preferred, along with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Previous hospitality experience, especially in high-volume restaurants, is an advantage. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
