The Warehouse Worker position at CAI represents an exciting opportunity to join a full-time, on-site team in Fairview, North Carolina. This role is situated on the first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am EST to 3:30 pm EST, ensuring a standard daytime work routine. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play an essential role in the logistics and operational flow within CAI’s production environment. The job entails handling various materials such as raw materials, components, packaging supplies, finished goods, and scrap. Your responsibilities will include transportation of these materials to and from the production floor, assisting in supporting the production schedule seamlessly.
This role is crucial in maintaining the material flow chain efficiency, requiring careful assessment of material needs and development of forecasts for assigned production areas at the start of each shift. Alongside transport duties, you will also manage paperwork related to outgoing materials, ensuring proper documentation with intercompany bills-of-lading. Preparation of outgoing goods will involve diverse methods such as scanning, labeling, and wrapping to maintain inventory organization.
The Warehouse Worker will also be responsible for unpacking and inspecting goods against purchase orders or invoices, keeping detailed records of received items, and rejecting any that fail to meet quality standards. The physical aspect of the job may require lifting heavy items and operating warehouse equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks, emphasizing the importance of safety and precision.
Given the sensitivity of the information handled under this role, compliance with stringent regulations including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is a mandatory aspect of the position.
