The Senior Project Manager for Construction & Development will be a pivotal figure in the rollout of the Omni Midland Hotel, expected to span two years. This role is onsite in Midland, Texas, overseeing comprehensive project management duties from inception through completion. As the Owner's Representative, the senior project manager will steer all aspects of design and construction while ensuring strict adherence to quality and operational standards. Responsibilities include the preparation and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), contract administration, and the full construction lifecycle management including warranty oversight after project completion. The role demands a multifaceted skill set encompassing project planning, cost control, schedule adherence, design coordination, quality assurance, and safety management.
The senior project manager will coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders such as the design team, contractors, in-house IT, procurement, engineering consultants, interior designers, and hotel operations personnel to ensure seamless project completion. This high-level leadership position requires advanced communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and strong problem-solving aptitude. Alongside these skills, the ability to use industry-standard software, particularly Microsoft Project or an equivalent scheduling tool, is desirable to support detailed schedule management.
In addition to construction oversight, this role includes managing project accounting functions, tracking budgets meticulously, and mitigating financial risks related to the construction process. Timely project phase completion and ongoing communication with upper management and key stakeholders about project progress are critical components of this position.
