The Receptionist, Front End role at Panoramic Health is vital to the smooth functioning of the center’s patient intake and administrative processes. This position involves welcoming patients and their family members with a positive and professional attitude, conducting health screenings to check for infection, fever, and patient status such as NPO (nothing by mouth), as well as verifying insurance and transportation arrangements for post-procedure needs. The Front End Receptionist is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling meticulously and ensuring clear communication with dialysis units and family members. The role requires managing patient flow effectively, maintaining patient charts, handling physician correspondence, and answering and routing incoming calls with accuracy and care. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and ordering office supplies, opening the center daily, and performing administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and mailing. This front-facing role acts as an intermediary between physicians and referring facilities to guarantee that procedure results and necessary reports are forwarded promptly to dialysis units or physicians. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations is essential. Candidates may occasionally need to work overtime or at other center locations, attend team meetings, and comply with all center policies and procedures. This position demands excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, fluency in verbal and written communication, and proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. While the role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant certification is preferred. Candidates with strong experience in healthcare or medical billing offices who are knowledgeable about medical terminology, insurance verification, and pre-authorizations will be well-suited. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred, reflecting the diverse patient population served by Panoramic Health.
