The Porter role at Kruseway Commons is a pivotal position that ensures the upkeep and cleanliness of vacant units, common areas, model apartments, and the property’s exterior. This position requires an individual who is diligent and attentive to detail, as they play an essential role in preparing apartments for new tenants and maintaining a welcoming environment for current residents. Reporting directly to the Resident Manager and Property Manager, the Porter collaborates closely with maintenance staff to promptly address any upkeep or repair needs.
This full-time position offers competitive compensation between $19.55 and $23.00 per hour, aligning with market rates and the candidate’s qualifications. The role operates in a professional office environment but also requires regular movement outdoors to maintain the property’s exterior and between buildings. The Porter will be equipped with standardized office tools and must be capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds, walking, standing, and climbing stairs or ladders when necessary.
Key responsibilities include cleaning vacant apartments to prepare them for showings and new occupancy, maintaining common areas such as laundry rooms and restrooms, and ensuring that exterior spaces—including driveways, parking lots, and dumpster areas—are orderly and presentable. Furthermore, the Porter offers world-class customer service by addressing resident concerns courteously and reporting maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
Safety is a paramount focus in this role. The Porter must adhere to Cushman & Wakefield’s safety policies, using cleaning agents and equipment responsibly and reporting any obstacles to safe task completion. Attention to inventory control is also part of the daily duties, assisting in the management of supplies and ensuring operational efficiency.
