The North America Trade Operations Lead position is a critical role within Meta's Global Trade Operations team, part of the broader Global Scaled Compliance Operations organization. This role is instrumental in ensuring that Meta's cross-border trade activities in the North America region adhere to all regulatory requirements while enabling fast and efficient operational processes. The team partners closely with internal business units spanning Infrastructure, Reality Labs, and Enterprise supply chains, working alongside Trade Legal, Tax, and Finance departments to create sustainable and scalable trade compliance practices. This leadership position commands significant responsibility in managing and overseeing trade operations, acting as the primary point of contact for trade-related matters across the North American region. Key duties include facilitating day-to-day import and export processes, ensuring accurate documentation and classification of goods, monitoring compliance, and supporting audits. The role also involves driving improvements in efficiency and contributing to the global trade compliance strategy, especially regarding trade preference programs, new product introductions, and country expansion considerations. Candidates should demonstrate extensive expertise in trade compliance, particularly within US jurisdiction, with a track record of operating effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional international environments. The compensation package for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $143,000 to $200,000, supplemented with bonuses, equity, and benefits. • 8+ years experience in global trade compliance related roles
• 4-year university degree in business, law, economics, finance or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience with trade compliance routines such as HTS and ECCN classification
• Experience with US and Customs Regulations and Export Control regulations
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, cross-functional, global environment
• Willingness to travel as required
