This specific role is for an on-call Banquet Captain position within one of Accor’s distinguished properties. The Banquet Captain will be responsible for orchestrating seamless and memorable events that leave lasting impressions on all attendees. This position demands a passion for impeccable service, leadership skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The individual will act as a key liaison between clients, food and beverage departments, and event teams to ensure that every event runs smoothly, meets group specifications, complies with hotel standards, and exceeds guest expectations. The Banquet Captain will oversee the entire process—from coordinating the delivery of requested equipment and food for meetings, to managing staff during events, and ensuring that event spaces are flawlessly set up with the necessary tables, chairs, staging, and audio/visual equipment. A thorough knowledge of the hotel’s function spaces, event types, and safety protocols is essential. The role involves close collaboration with multiple departments, including Sales, Event Management, Food and Beverage, and Housekeeping, to coordinate all aspects of each event from pre-function setup to post-event breakdown and cleaning. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain professional appearances, adhere to local and state certification requirements (e.g., food handler’s certificate, alcohol training), and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays according to departmental needs. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $17.00 plus tips, providing a competitive compensation package for those passionate about hospitality and event management.
