The role of Food Service Worker at Aramark is an essential position within their food service operations. This role primarily involves assisting the manager with food and meal preparation while maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records to ensure smooth daily operations. The Food Service Worker supports the manager in completing daily reports and upholds high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. This position requires individuals who are attentive to detail and committed to maintaining cleanliness and organization in food storage and preparation areas. The worker will prepare quality food and baked goods following a planned menu, serve food according to meal schedules and department procedures, and ensure all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage are strictly adhered to. In addition to food preparation and serving, the Food Service Worker is responsible for the care and use of kitchen equipment, particularly knives, and must assist in major cleaning tasks, such as refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment. Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment is a priority, with duties including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and managing garbage collection areas. The role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Employees in this position may be required to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) to comply with safety standards. Aramark emphasizes the importance of communication and coordination within its team. The Food Service Worker must connect daily with the manager to understand and accurately prepare the day’s menu, supervise food temperature requirements, and ensure customer satisfaction by adding garnishments that enhance the look and appeal of food.
