The Operations Manager role at Live Nation Entertainment is an exciting and dynamic position based in Riverside, Missouri, within the Venue Management team. This role holds overall responsibility for the facility's operations and physical plant, working closely with the market leadership team. An exempt position reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager ensures smooth and efficient venue operations, ranging from front-of-house activities to preventive maintenance and venue set-up and tear-down. The role involves managing third-party contractors, maintaining government relations, overseeing staffing, and other related tasks. This position demands a high level of leadership and organizational skills, as the Operations Manager recruits, hires, trains, and supervises part-time staff and supervisors across multiple departments such as Security, Maintenance, Cleaning, and Usher/Ticket Taker teams. Additionally, the role includes developing and managing overhead expense budgets for maintenance, repairs, and venue supplies, as well as assisting in preparing the annual operations budget alongside the General Manager. The manager is also responsible for keeping meticulous records of incident reports, investigating and managing pending cases and guest complaints, ensuring all company policies and procedures are implemented effectively, and maintaining robust relationships with local municipalities including police, fire, rescue, and traffic departments. Critical to the role is the commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and employees while coordinating with approved subcontractors and vendors for successful event execution. The Operations Manager also handles the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of event staff, managing payroll approvals for in-house departments, and ensuring compliance with governmental reporting requirements.
