The role of General Manager at Highgate Hotels, specifically for the Homewood Suites Erie located at 2084 Interchange Road, Erie, PA, 16565, is a pivotal leadership position within the Select Service Division. This full-time position focuses on driving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction, and employee development while preserving the integrity of the hotel property. The General Manager plays an essential role in ensuring that the hotel operates efficiently and in alignment with Highgate’s high standards of service and operational excellence.
As General Manager, you will conduct daily tours of hotel departments, lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions, and oversee financial review processes to monitor budgets and productivity levels. You will also develop departmental managers for future growth through training programs, engage actively in hotel sales efforts, including client interactions and meetings, and participate in management on duty coverage as required. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining service standards across all departments and fostering a positive, team-oriented work culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction.
