The community staff works cooperatively to provide care and support while adhering strictly to safety and regulatory standards, including accident prevention, fire safety, OSHA regulations, and maintaining confidentiality of resident information. This professional environment complies with the Adult Care Home Residents' Bill of Rights and fosters a respectful and caring atmosphere where residents can exercise their rights and maintain personal dignity. The role offered is that of a Cleaning Staff member who plays a crucial part in upholding the facility's cleanliness and sanitation standards, which require a sanitation grade of 90 or above at all times. The employment type is full-time, and the position promises a collaborative working setting where the cleanliness of the community contributes directly to residents' quality of life and safety. As a Cleaning Staff member, your responsibilities encompass general cleaning duties that cover various parts of the community, including floors, furniture, bathrooms, laundry facilities, baseboards, door facings, and walls. Your role also involves managing cleaning inventories and purchasing chemical and housekeeping supplies, operating within the facility's budget, and keeping accurate purchase records for administrative purposes. You must eliminate unpleasant odors and empty trash cans regularly to maintain a clean living environment. Your duties go beyond cleaning, as you will help maintain the self-respect, dignity, and physical safety of residents, working cooperatively with staff and communicating positively with residents and their families. Adherence to confidentiality standards concerning resident information is mandatory. You will also be expected to familiarize yourself with and apply all relevant safety and emergency standards and policies, including accident prevention and fire safety protocols.
