This position is full-time, with a Monday-Friday schedule starting at 5:00 am and the potential for overtime when needed. The role carries a competitive pay rate of $20.50 per hour during training, progressing to $23.50 per hour once in 100% production, along with the possibility of additional pay incentives. Warehouse Selectors at McLane are responsible for the accurate selection and loading of products, ensuring smooth operations within various warehouse environments such as dry storage, refrigerated areas, perishables, and freezers. The company provides necessary protective gear such as freezer suits, hats, and gloves, emphasizing safety and comfort. The role involves operating equipment including reach trucks and pallet jacks to efficiently move, sort, and stack products in both the warehouse and loading docks. Attention to detail is crucial as the position requires reviewing shipment documents, verifying product quantities, identities, availability, and condition to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality. Additionally, Warehouse Selectors will perform tasks such as hand-stacking products when necessary, shrink-wrapping and labeling outgoing orders, removing shrink wrap from incoming goods, and maintaining cleanliness of the workspace.
