The position available is for a part-time Waiter/Waitress located at Vie de France, 6842 Main Street, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. This role offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $13.00 per hour and operates on a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, with further details to be provided during the interview process. This role is designed for individuals with prior experience in customer service and barista roles, ensuring they can seamlessly integrate into the fast-paced dining environment. As a frontline team member, the Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, taking food and beverage orders accurately, and delivering exceptional service in a timely and professional manner.
The role requires knowledge of menu items and ingredients to recommend suitable food and beverage combinations and to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergen concerns. Communication is key, both with guests and back-of-the-house staff, to ensure orders are correctly executed and any special requests are fulfilled. The position demands a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, especially during special events and functions.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, following strict food handling and sanitation protocols, handling payments and transactions responsibly, setting up and breaking down the dining area, and operating relevant dining equipment such as coffee machines and syrup dispensers.
