The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a Value Analysis Coordinator within the Finance SC Value Analysis department. This is a regular, management operations role focused on improving clinical and operational efficiencies at UAMS Health. The Value Analysis Coordinator plays a pivotal role in identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in healthcare delivery. By leveraging clinical expertise, this position helps standardize products, services, and processes to ensure the highest quality of patient care coupled with cost-effectiveness.
The coordinator works closely with medical staff, department leaders, and care providers to evaluate financial, clinical, and operational data alongside evidence-based research that informs decision-making. Key responsibilities include conducting product evaluations, facilitating value analysis, developing product conversion plans, and supporting implementation efforts. This role requires strong relational skills to collaborate effectively across departments and healthcare areas, familiarity with hospital environments, EMR systems, and experience using software tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office. The coordinator will work both independently and as part of a matrixed team structure to ensure all analyses and recommendations are accurate, timely, and actionable.
UAMS seeks candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and at least five years of clinical work experience within a healthcare setting. Preferred qualifications include clinical experience in surgical, emergency, or intensive care inpatient settings, previous value analysis experience, and licensure as a registered nurse. The role demands physical stamina due to frequent movement throughout the healthcare setting.
This position also involves educating users on products and services, supporting the organization’s goals to drive consensus, tracking savings and outcome measures, and handling communication and conversion plans related to product and service changes.
