As a Valet at The Westin New Orleans, the primary responsibility is to ensure a warm, welcoming, and seamless arrival and departure experience for all guests. This role demands professionalism and attentiveness, as valets stand ready at the hotel entrance to assist guests by opening doors, greeting them warmly, and providing support with luggage and transportation. Valets manage vehicle parking and retrieval in adherence to departmental procedures, ensuring all guest vehicles and keys are handled securely with clear tagging for identification. They serve as knowledgeable guides to the property, offering directions and information as needed to enhance guest satisfaction. Valets also support fellow staff members by monitoring traffic flow, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the porte cochere area, and responding diplomatically to guest requests or concerns.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state
- At least two years driving experience preferred
- Heavy work - exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Valid driver license with a clean (zero points) driver's abstract and able to drive standard and automatic vehicles
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Perform other duties as requested by management
