The role of Valet Attendant at Palms is a critical front-line position within the Front Services team, reporting directly to the Manager of Front Services. This position is responsible for providing best-in-class vehicle and luggage services to guests as they arrive and depart from the property. The Valet Attendant is expected to embody the highest level of professionalism, polish, and stewardship, ensuring each guest’s valet experience aligns seamlessly with Palms’ standards and expectations. Key responsibilities include greeting guests warmly and professionally, unloading luggage, assisting with vehicle doors, inspecting vehicles for safety hazards or preexisting damage, and parking and retrieving vehicles safely despite potentially challenging desert environment conditions such as extreme temperatures, incline or decline gradients, and various surface types. The role involves maintaining accuracy in payment processing and key inventory management, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and following up with guests to address any requests or concerns. In addition, the Valet Attendant provides guests with directions and local area information, supporting a welcoming atmosphere that encourages return visits. Physical demands of the position require working outdoors in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, varying weather conditions, and occasional contact with smoke. This job necessitates physical mobility, balance, lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally, and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required to maintain continuous service excellence. • High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum three years driving experience required
• Ability to operate both a manual and an automatic transmission required
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the enterprise’s insurance carrier
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor setting
• Tolerance to varying noise levels, temperature, illumination, and air quality
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work evening, weekends, and holiday shifts
• Good eye-hand coordination
• Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
