As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, packaging, and merchandising an assortment of baked goods such as cookies, bread, and muffins using proven ingredients and recipes. • Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
• Be dependable and reliable
• Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Possess good communication skills
• Be able to take direction and work in a team environment
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
• Operate baking equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for up to 8 hours per shift
• Be able to transfer trays and items of specific weights and heights up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
• Maintain a Food Handlers permit
