The role of Housekeeper at Cedarhurst of St. Charles is an essential position that directly impacts the living experience of residents by maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable environments. This full-time position requires availability on weekends and involves collaboration with the Environmental Services Director to uphold community standards for cleanliness and hygiene. Housekeepers at Cedarhurst contribute to the health and well-being of residents through diligent cleaning and sanitation practices in resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices. Housekeepers are responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry duties, and trash removal according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. The role includes managing soiled and clean linens, reporting supply needs, and coordinating with maintenance for necessary repairs, ensuring that the community functions smoothly and efficiently. A critical aspect of the job is the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members and the families of residents to support the residents' physical, personal, and emotional well-being. The position demands a collaborative spirit as well as individual initiative, including conflict resolution skills when addressing concerns from residents, families, and coworkers. Housekeepers must be able to meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds independently and assistance with heavier loads.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • CPR or BLS certificate preferred
  • ability to demonstrate proficiency in internet browsers, Microsoft Office programs, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and HR related systems if applicable
  • ability to work weekends
  • physical capability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance
  • ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • pass background and drug tests, participate in required testing such as TB, use designated PPE when required
