The Chef role at Canteen is a dynamic position focused on delivering exceptional culinary resources and support to ensure client and customer satisfaction. The position involves assisting with managing departmental scheduling, discipline, and hiring, while also supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in menu development, recipe creation, and ordering processes. This role is ideal for an energetic and entrepreneurial culinary professional looking to thrive within a company that values innovation and quality. As a Chef, you will be instrumental in executing catering events, rolling out new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and the culinary team, and maintaining food quality standards. You will also assist with food cost control, purchasing, and expenditure management to ensure operational efficiency.

- 1 to 3 years of culinary management experience
- Hands-on chef experience
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations
- Knowledge of food and catering trends
- Strong food cost control and purchasing skills
- Ability to assist with scheduling, discipline, and hiring
- Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office including Excel
- Preferred ServSafe Certification
- Preferred Associate's degree in Culinary Arts
